The first Free Fiasco Festival will

in the harbor of Antwerp.
Deep Down in the concrete jungle

poets and pirates…

Op zondag 8 augustus vinden in het dorp de 36ste Doelse feesten en Scheldewijding plaats.
De Scheldewijdingsmis vangt aan om 14 uur en wordt meteen gevolgd door de bootwijding op de Schelde.
Dit jaar draaide Beveren de subsidiekraan voor de Doelse feesten volledig dicht, maar op eigen kracht proberen de bewoners en sympathisanten dit jaar toch de traditionele rommelmarkt met artisanale standjes te organiseren.
In de kapel wordt u verwelkomd met poëzie, een tentoonstelling en een erfgoedpresentatie.

Richard De Nul (fotograaf) en Paul Vincent (dichter) sloegen de handen in elkaar en stelden de fotodichtbundel "in tegenstrijd" samen. De publicatie die een creatieve aanklacht is tegen de afbraak van Doel, wordt aan het grote publiek voorgesteld op 8 augustus tijdens het Scheldewijdingsfeest.
De kapel van het voormalige klooster vormt het decor voor de tentoonstelling van de foto's met bijhorende gedichten. Ook kunstenaars in andere disciplines verlenen hun medewerking aan dit feestelijk gebeuren zodat het geheel een mooie symbiose wordt van beeld, woord en muziek

Zaterdagnacht 25 juli om middernacht opent Camping Havenweg.
Een tijdelijke autonome zone binnen het kunstendorp Doel.
Twee weken lang kan elke creatieve bezoeker op elk moment van de dag of nacht zich laten verwelkomen op de braakliggende percelen van de Havenweg.
In interactie bouwen we de camping samen op en laten we het evolueren tot een multidimensionale trefplaats.
Elke inbreng, overnachting of nederzetting maakt het project sterker.
We recycleren het Doelse afval, materiaal en stof, en laten het herleven als een ode aan het positief constructieve denken.
Het project sterft een luide dood op 8 augustus om middernacht, tijdens het Doelse feestweekend.

"They had a bottle of wine, and some of that wine got spilled in the console. Lee (Oskar, War harmonica player) says he felt that the song didn't have anything to do with the wine going into the console, but all I know is after that they moved out of the A studio, they moved us into the B studio, and then we were playing a Latin thing, and even if Eric had been writing 'Spill The Wine' all along, and writing the concepts, that's when it all came together. I think that Eric was already working on an idea about leaking gnomes waking up in a grassy field, and then when the wine inadvertently got knocked over, whether it was part of the song or not, it all just came together right at that moment."

Jewelry from Heaven: Morning Dew
"Morning Dew", also known as "(Walk Me Out in the) Morning Dew", is a post-apocalyptic folk-rock song written by Canadian singer Bonnie Dobson in 1962, that has become a standard.
According to Dobson in a 1993 interview, "Morning Dew" was inspired by the film On the Beach.[1]
Fred Neil heard Dobson's song and re-arranged it to suit his own style. Tim Rose heard Neil's version and then recorded his own in 1966, adding himself as co-writer. Through a loophole in US copyright law, Rose was able to claim royalties. Dobson has consistently questioned Rose's right to a co-writing credit.[2]
The song is most popularly known today as a cover by the Grateful Dead.
